I believe the answer is a because when it says that she is 12 and her immature behavior is becoming more obvious, i see it as she is young and has that youthful energy that you see in most 12 year olds. That youthful energy could be mainly described as immature seeing as most twelve year olds don’t have the capacity to observe serious and important (mature) themes. They mostly have a upbeat, imaginative personality in this time of their lives.
