Explanation: I would say C because the introduction specifically states, "This was going to be her patch of land, no one else’s." and that's what C kind of ties back into, when it says, "And there she found a ripe strawberry waiting—just for her." Also, it makes the most sense and the other answers aren't as related to the introduction.
