Find:
emmasim [6.3K]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the dataset 147, 154, 156, 161, 162,

Mean is the sum of the dataset divided by the total number of dataset.

a) Mean = \sum Xi/N

\overline x = \dfrac{147+154+156+161+162}{5}\\ \\\overline x = \dfrac{780}{5}\\ \\\overline x= 156

b) The formula for calculating the deviation from the mean for each value is expressed as Xi - \overline X where;

Xi is value of each item

xbar is the mean = 156

Mean deviation of 147 = 147-156 = -9

Mean deviation of 154 = 154-156 = -2

Mean deviation of 156 = 156-156 = 0

Mean deviation of 161 = 161-156 = 5

Mean deviation of 162 = 162-156 = 6

c) Sum of the deviations \sum Xi - \overline X = (-9-2+0+5+6)

\sum Xi - \overline X = -11+11

\sum Xi - \overline X = 0

<em>Hence the sum of deviation from the mean is 0</em>

!!25 POINTS AND BRAINLIEST!! A recipe calls for 2 cups of pizza sauce. I only want 3/4 OF the full 2 cups. How will I figure out
Nutka1998 [239]

Mathematical Answer: 2cups*3/4 = 1 and 1/2 cups or 1.5 cups.

How to do it while cooking:

  1. Get out a container large enough to hold at least 4 cups sauce
  2. Get out a "1 cup" and "1/2 cup" measuring cup.
  3. Measure out 1 cup of sauce with the "1 cup" measuring cup.
  4. Measure out  1/2 of a cup of sauce with the '1/2 cup' measuring cup.
  5. pour both cups into the larger container.

And there you go you have 3/4 of 2 cups of sauce.

<em>Hoped this helped!</em>

How to find the least common denominator of 3 fractions?
Lina20 [59]

Answer:

Find the LCD of the first two, then the LCD of that and the third one.

Step-by-step explanation:

You can do it by finding the LCD of two of the denominators, then the LCD of that and the third denominator.

Or, you can factor each of the denominators and find their LCM by multiplying the unique factors to their highest powers.

___

<u>Example:</u>

  1/21 + 1/35 + 1/45

The LCD of 1/21 and 1/35 is (21·35)/5 = 105. The LCD of 1/105 and 1/45 is ...

  (105·45)/15 = 315

__

Using factoring ...

  • 21 = 3·7
  • 35 = 5·7
  • 45 = 3²·5

LCD = 3²·5·7 = 315
