The animals that the mountain lions used to eat would multiply and there would be a surplus of those animals so they would eat more of what they eat and those animals would die out and it would mess up the energy flow / energy pyramid

the removal of mountain lions would take out one major predator in the energy pyramid which would result in either a gain or loss in energy. Also species that the mountain lions hunted would have more energy to give to the energy pyramid.

.. What is the average rainfall in mm's for the following cities:
Andrei [34K]

The average annual precipitation in these cities are:

Vancouver - 1457 mm

Edmonton - 456

Regina - 390

Toronto - 831

Halifax - 1468

Explanation:

Canada is enormous country, and of course it has large differences when it comes to the precipitation levels across its territory. In general, the closer a region is to the sea, the more precipitation it tends to get, to further a region is in the interior, the lower the precipitation. The exceptions of these rules are the areas in the interior that are around the Great Lakes, and the far north.

The Great Lakes are several enormous lakes which create a lot of humidity in the air, so despite being in the interior, the amount of precipitation is relatively good. The northern part of the country, despite being surrounded by sea, has very low precipitation levels, with the main reason being the polar climate.

This patterns can easily be seen by the five cities on the list. Vancouver and Halifax are located on places that are heavily influenced by the sea, so they have high precipitation levels. Toronto is right next to the Great Lakes and it has medium precipitation levels. Regina and Edmonton are located in the interior, far away from the wet air masses, thus they have relatively low precipitation levels.
