Answer:

A.  125 ml of milk

B.  19.2 g of butter

Step-by-step explanation:

A.  To figure out how much milk he needs you need to divide 250 ml of milk by half. If you need 250 ml of milk for 8 pancakes then you need half the ingredients to make 4 pancakes because 4 is half of 8.

250 ÷ 2 = 125

B. You need to figure out how much butter is needed to make 1 pancake. You divide 8 pancakes by 5 g of butter which equals 1.6 than times it by 12 pancakes

8 ÷ 5 = 1.6 x 12 = 19.2

Sorry if this is wrong

If I have a line that starts at the origin (0,0), and goes 13 meters at an angle of π/6 in the standard position (ie. 30° north
Klio2033 [76]

Line goes 11.2583303 meters in the x direction (east) and 7.5 meters in the y direction (north) .

<u>Step-by-step explanation:</u>

Here we have , If I have a line that starts at the origin (0,0), and goes 13 meters at an angle of π/6 in the standard position (i.e. 30° north of east) . We need yo find how far does it go in the y direction (north), and how far does it go in the x direction (east). Let's find out:

According to question we have a right angle triangle as :

Hypotenuse =13m\\x=\frac{\pi}{6} =30

x direction (east)

We know that ,

⇒ cosx = \frac{Base}{Hypotenuse}

⇒ cos30 = \frac{Base}{13}

⇒ \frac{\sqrt{3} }{2} = \frac{Base}{13}

⇒ Base=\frac{\sqrt{3}(13) }{2} m

⇒ Base=11.2583303m

y direction (North )

We know that ,

⇒ sinx = \frac{Perpendicular}{Hypotenuse}

⇒ sin30 = \frac{Perpendicular}{13}

⇒ \frac{1}{2} = \frac{Perpendicular}{13}

⇒ Perpendicular=7.5m

Therefore , Line goes 11.2583303 meters in the x direction (east) and 7.5 meters in the y direction (north) .

Given that ∠A≅∠B , Gavin conjectured that ∠A and ∠B are complementary angles.
Pani-rosa [81]

Given ∠A≅∠B which means A and B are congruent, so A and B should have same value.

and also given that A and B are complementary angles which mean ∠A+∠B=90°

Now to find counterexample to Gavin's statement, we should find two angles satisfying ∠A≅∠B and contradicting ∠A+∠B = 90°

Let us check given options:-

A) since A and B are not equal, it is contradicting the first statement itself.

B) Here ∠A=25 = ∠B , hence it is satisfying congruent condition.

Let us check they are complementary or not by adding them.

∠A+∠B = 25°+25° = 50° ≠90°

Which means it is an counter example to Gavin's statement which tells that two congruent angles need not be complementary.

C) since A and B are not equal, it is contradicting the first statement itself.

D) Here ∠A=45°=∠B, hence it is satisfying congruent condition.

And ∠A+∠B = 45°+45° = 90°

Hence this is not an counter example.
