What is the primary product of the light dependent reactions of photosynthesis?
PolarNik [594]

Answer: Glucose (and also oxygen)

Explanation: Photosynthesis is the process of turning CO2 and H2O in Glucose and oxygen where the chloroplasts use the energy from the sun to rip apart the molecules and rearrange them into glucose, a useable form of energy, and oxygen, a bi product that gets released into the atmosphere.

What organisms can get up to 10 centermeters in size
Svetach [21]
<h2><u>Answer:</u></h2>

A Single-Celled Organism

<h2><u>Explanation:</u></h2><h3><u></u></h3>

The giants of the deep are so-called xenophyophores, sponge-like animals that—like amoebas—are made of just one cell. They were found during a July research expedition run by the Scripps Institution of Oceanography in La Jolla, California.

The animals are about four inches (ten centimeters) long—among the largest single-celled organisms known to exist.

The creatures were discovered at depths of 6.6 miles (10.6 kilometers). That breaks a previous record for xenophyophores found in the New Hebrides Trench at 4.7 miles (7.6 kilometers).

Xenophyophores represent, <u>"one of the few groups of organisms found exclusively in the deep sea,"</u> said Lisa Levin, a Scripps oceanographer who studied the expedition's data.

<u>"If any creatures should be able to live at the ocean's greatest depth, then xenophyophores certainly should be among them."</u>

The Mariana xenophyophores were seen in footage from Dropcams, free-falling devices equipped with lights and digital video that were developed by the National Geographic Society. (The Society owns National Geographic News.)

Protected by thick walls of pressure-resistant glass, the Dropcams were baited to attract whatever marine life might be lurking in the deep. Expedition scientists also saw, for instance, the deepest-swimming jellyfish to date. (Watch a video of the expedition.)

<u>"The deep sea is the largest biome on Earth and holds much of the diversity on the planet—[yet it's still] largely undescribed,"</u> Levin said in an email to National Geographic News.

(Also see, <u>"Pictures: Hard-to-See Sea Creatures Revealed."</u>)

According to Jon Copley, a marine biologist at the U.K.'s University of Southampton, <u>"many of the major discoveries in deep-sea biology have come from making direct observations at the seafloor."</u>

<u>"The Dropcam is a great tool for the future, because it can help us see more of what's down there for less cost than using ROVs or submersibles,"</u> he said via email.

For instance, <u>"finding xenophyophores far deeper than before shows how much we still have to learn about our oceans depths and their inhabitants."</u>

Tullis Onsott, an expert in deep-sea microorganisms at Princeton University, also called the xenophyophore discovery, <u>"fantastic."</u>

What do you already know about photosynthesis and cellular reputation? (At least three sentences) BRAINLIEST INVOLVED AND
Vilka [71]

I'm not sure what YOU already know about photosynthesis and cellular respiration.... however, you SHOULD know that the two are beautifully linked to one another!

Photosynthesis equation:

6CO2+6H2O -> C6H12O6+H2O

Cellular respiration

C6H12O6+H2O -> 6CO2+6H2O

Notice something? The substrates of one equation are the products of the other! We rely on plants for their photosynthetic reactions - and plants benefit from us (not really because there is already a TON of CO2 in the atmosphere) from our cellular respiration

***we like their oxygen and they like our carbon dioxide!

:) I hope that helps! Let me know if you need any more elaboration!

A biologist is studying the possible role of earthworms on the fertility of farm soils. As part of this research, the number of
dimaraw [331]

Answer:

Taking more samples from different parts of an acre.

Explanation:

Validity and accuracy of the data is crucial for any serious research. In this particular case, the most accurate data would be obtained if earthworms would be counted on the whole acre. Of course, this would consume lot of time, people, money etc. That's why methods for estimation are used. Estimation best works with large number of samples. Since one acre equals over 4000 square meters, taking only five samples from such a big area is simply not enough for obtaining valid data.

One of the possible ways to improve estimation is to take more samples per acre while avoiding taking adjacent samples because it could be possible that number of earthworms in one part of an acre is increased (or decreased) for any reason, which would lead us to wrong conclusion.

Cathy hypothesized that corn would not grow in mud. To test this hypothesis, she took corn kernels and placed 5 in mud, 3 in soi
Softa [21]
The seeds she planted in the mud grew quicker because the mud is holding nutrition for the corn. The soil is a good guess to make, but the mud is more dense and moist. The water wouldn't have had more nutrients than the mud, just because the mud holds breakdown matter and other things from other plants.
