When the American Government wanted to build the Panama Canal to connect the Pacific and Atlantic oceans, they had to pay a lot of money to do so, but Colombians wanted more and more. This caused President Theodore Roosevelt to get angry and supported a revolt in Panama who overtake the Government and made an agreement with the leader of the revolution (Manuel Amador) to build the Panama Canal soon after he took the power.
