If they do not overdose or have the required money needed to use cocaine regularly, then it is not that much of an issue in the sense of 'surviving with it' as there are much worse drugs that have worse health effects on our system. While long-term use of cocaine can have some negative side effects (while also being quite adictive), it's not something that people wouldn't be able to survive with.
