Answer:

B. invasion of the Bay of Pigs

Explanation:

The invasion of the Bay of Pigs was a military operative in which troops of exiled Cuban invaded Cuba in 1961 with the support of the US, in an attempt to overthrow Fidel Castro from the government and establishing a new government leaned to the US. Due to the delicate nature of the mission, this event was kept in the biggest secrecy not being informed even to the Congress nor the American public. Anyway, the attempt resulted in a great failure and finished in 65 hours with the victory of the Cuban Revolutionary forces. One of the consequences was an increase in the support to Fidel Castro's rule by the Cuban population and the subsequent deployment of Soviet missiles in Cuba, which would cause the missile crisis of 1963, one of the largest political crisis of the Cold War that almost pushed the US and the USSR to a direct war.

How did Aristotle's inability to detect parallax lead him to propose a geocentric model of the solar system?
Leviafan [203]
He reasoned that since parallax could not be observed for celestial objects near the sun, then the earth was stationary. This erroneous assumption was because at the time he had no way of knowing that celestial objects were so far away that their parallax angles were too small to detect.
