When writing as a student or healthcare professional, it is important to use credible sources because writing is only as credible as the sources upon which that writing is based. This, naturally, will be important for students and healthcare professionals because grades and reputation will always be based upon the writing produced. What this means is that if a student or healthcare professional produce work based on non-credible sources then the student or healthcare professional cannot be trusted as a reliable source of information.

If the source you are attempting to use is not credible, information may be false.
In healthcare there a lot of news articles over various diseases like ebola, west nile ect.
if you wish to get information on curing or treating a disease as such, it is best to use a credible source.
if you do however use a non-credible source, you may try to use the information given from the article and maybe try to treat an illness but possibly fail or make things worse.
