Step-by-step explanation:

1a) The perpendicular bisectors pass through the midpoints of the sides of the triangle and are perpendicular to the sides.  They are the red lines.

1b) The angle bisectors pass through the vertices of the triangle and divide the angle into two equal parts.  They are the black lines.

1c) The inscribed circle is the circle inside of the triangle.  It is the blue circle.

1d) The circumscribed circle is the circle outside of the triangle.  It is the green circle.

2a) The circumcenter is the center of the circumscribed circle.  It is point H.

2b) The incenter is the center of the inscribed circle.  It is point I.

3\frac{5}{8} = \frac{29}{8}

\frac{1}{3}(3\frac{5}{8} )=(\frac{1}{3} (\frac{24}{8} ))+(\frac{1}{3} (\frac{5}{8} ))

[If you can't type fractions, then instead of 24/8, do 3]

The first missing value is 3 or \frac{24}{8}

= \frac{3}{3} + \frac{5}{24}

The second missing value is 24 (because 3 times 8 is 24)

= \frac{24}{24}+ \frac{5}{24}      Make the denominators the same in order to add them together

= \frac{29}{24}

The third missing value is 29

Which has the greater surface area? A 6-centimeter cube or a rectangular prism with a 3 centimeter square base and a height of 1
bazaltina [42]

Answer:

The prism

Step-by-step explanation:

The surface area of a cube is:

A=6L^2

where

L is the length of the side

For the cube in this problem,

L = 6 cm

So the surface area of the cube is

A=6\cdot 6^2 = 36 cm^2

The surface area of a rectangular prism with squared base is:

A=2L^2+4Lh

where

L is the length of the base

h is the height of the prism

For the prism in this problem,

L = 3 cm

h = 12 cm

Therefore,

A=2\cdot 3^2 + 4(3)(12)=162 cm^2

So, the prism has a greater surface area.
