Step-by-step explanation:

so we know X= Numbers of Large boxes and Y= Numbers of Small boxes

And we know the large boxes weigh <em>7</em><em>5</em><em><u> </u></em><em><u>pounds</u></em> and the small boxes weigh <em>4</em><em>0</em><em> </em><em><u>pounds</u></em>

So I would have to say the the same except you have to flip the inequality sign like this:

75x + 40y

\geqslant  \\

200

And if that doesnt somehow work and the question is wording it wrong then

My guess for why its wrong us because its not in slope intercept form Although you still can solve for either varible ( x or y) using standard form also.

So to get from standard form to Slope intercept form (y=mx+b) these are the steps:

Ax+by=C

75x + 40y ≤ 200

Turn it into a linear equation.

75x+ 40y =200

In order to go from one form to another, all you have to do is change the order of the given numbers. First you want to move the Ax to the opposite side of the equation, by either adding or subtracting it. At this point your equation will be set up By = -Ax + C. Then you want to divide the B from the By and the rest of the equation. Therefore you will have y = - Ax/B + C/B. This is the same thing as the slope-intercept form, just a few of the letters are different.

40y=-75x+200 first subtract 75x

y=−1.875×+5 then dived every varible (everything) by 40. and you have your Linear eqaution.

And your second question would be <em><u>A</u></em><em><u>.</u></em><em><u> </u></em><em><u>>The number of boxes must be a whole number.</u></em><em><u> </u></em>

Because you cannot split boxes in half or in any quarter in a real life scenario.

Here is a sketch of y=x^2+bx+c The curve intersects
atroni [7]

Answer:

y = 18  and  x = -2

Step-by-step explanation:

y = x^2+bx+c   To find the turning point, or vertex, of this parabola, we need to work out the values of the coefficients b and c. We are given two different solutions of the equation. First, (2, 0).  Second, (0, -14). So we have a value (-14) for c. We can substitute that into our first equation to find b. We can now plug in our values for b and c into the equation to get its standard form. To find the vertex, we can convert this equation to vertex form by completing the square. Thus, the vertex is (4.5, –6.25). We can confirm the solution graphically     Plugging in  (2,0) :

y=x2+bx+c

0=(2)^2+b(2)+c

y=4+2b+c

-2b=4+c

b=-2+2c

Plugging in  (0,−14) :

y=x2+bx+c

−14=(0)2+b(0)+c

−16=0+b+c

b=16−c

Now that we have two equations isolated for  b , we can simply use substitution and solve for  c .   y=x2+bx+c  16 + 2 = y   y = 18  and  x = -2

Plz help me with these two problems I’m having such trouble
igomit [66]
For No. 13 you need to calculate the distance each girl travels and compare to see whose distance is greater. The formula for distance is rate x time or d=rt. The rate is just how fast they consistently go.

Mia
d = r x t
d = 14 x 3/2
d = 21 miles

Chloe
d = r x t
d = 35 x 3/4 (btw 3/4 is just 45/60 simplified)
d = 105/4 = 26 1/4 miles

Final Answer: Chloe traveled further

For No. 14 we will recalculate Mia's distance but replace 1/5 hours with 2 hours because it says she will bike 30 minutes after Chloe had stopped. Afterwards we will compare Mia's new distance with Chloe's old distance.

Mia
d = r x t
d = 14 x 2
d = 28 miles

Final Answer: Yes Mia would be able to catch up to Chloe, and even surpass her in 30 minutes if Chloe stopped.
