1. In the first act of Julius Caesar, William Shakespeare establishes two important conflicts that will carry through the play.

Look back in the text and find what these conflicts are. In order to find them, keep in mind the definition of conflict. Which characters are clashing with others in the story? Which characters are facing an internal battle with their own thoughts or feelings? In the space provided below, name both conflicts in this play and briefly describe each conflict and how Shakespeare establishes it through the events of the play, the words of each character, and the actions of each character.
Conflict between characters: ______________________________________________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________
Internal conflict that one of the characters faces: _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
2. Discuss Shakespeare's use of foreshadowing in the first act of Julius Caesar. For example, focus on the words and actions of the conspirators, Brutus, and Caesar himself. What do these words and actions suggest may occur in the rest of the play? How do these possibilities affect readers? What role does the Soothsayer play in Shakespeare's use of foreshadowing? _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

wgich of these is the term for the smooth flow of ideas in sentences, between paragraphs, and in paragraphs?
Lorico [155]

Answer:

Coherence

Explanation:

You have not provided the options, but I can answer your question nonetheless.

The term that refers to the smooth flow of ideas in sentences, between paragraphs, and in paragraphs is coherence. When something is coherent, all of its parts are well-connected. This characteristic of a piece of writing is crucial because, otherwise, we wouldn't be able to understand it. Words in sentences need to be connected in a way that makes sense. The same applies to the sentences that make up paragraphs, and paragraphs that make up an entire text.
