Answer:

sample response on edge:

The Ninth Amendment to the Constitution came about because people worried that the many rights that were not specifically stated by the Bill of Rights would not be considered rights. Therefore, the Ninth Amendment was created to state that the ten rights listed are not necessarily the only rights that should be given to American citizens. The amendment was written generally so that, in the future, politicians could use it to ensure any rights they saw fit.

hope that helps :)

In act 4 Sc. 1, Lines 97–105: What text reflects Macbeth’s ego and ambition?
Temka [501]
In these lines, Macbeth reacts to the witches telling him he cannot be beaten until "Great Birnam Wood to high Dunsinane Hill...come against him."

His lines reflect his ego and his ambition because he doesn't even stop to consider the possibility he could be beaten. He immediately says, "That will never be." He is so blinded by ambition that he dismisses the prophecy and looks forward to becoming king.

He says that may the woods never rise until "high-placed Macbeth...live the lease of nature." Here, Macbeth is saying that he foresees himself as king, dying a natural death (likely of old age). His ego and ambition blind him to any other possibility.

giving brainliest! (100pts if you answer correctly!) How would you interpret the lesson of King Midas for a modern-day world. Wh
Rus_ich [418]

Answer:

Lesson: Don't be greedy, be grateful for what you have.

King Midas is a relevant story for a modern world, because everyone is selfish, and doesn't care about other people. If you ever get to wish something, do not wish for a golden touch. Instead, you could wish for a pet elephant, or world peace. Modernly, people would wish for unlimited money, and new cars, and etc... One should never be greedy in life because the wish of being greedy does not give fruitful returns in the future. In return for a good deed, he was granted one wish by the god Dionysus, and asked for the power to turn everything he touched into gold. When "Midas touch" is used today, the moral of this tale of greed is usually ignored.
