I recommend starting by filling out an outline. I know it’s a pain to do but it makes actually writing the essay SOOO much quicker and helps your thoughts flow logically. I am not sure exactly what type of essay you are writing, but typically outline your introduction (and the thesis in the intro) and then your body paragraphs and what your main points in this paragraphs will be. You can write out each point you’re trying to make and then provide evidence for those points too. Then just remember to do your conclusion as well and don’t state any new information in your conclusion, but summarize and conclude what all your evidence and points are trying to get at. Hope that helps a little :) Quick Google search will show you a ton of good outline guides

7. A sphere and a circular cylinder have the same radius, r, and the height of the cylinder is 2r. a. What is the ratio of the v
Nastasia [14]

Answer: (a) 2 : 3

               (b) 4 :1

Step-by-step explanation:

\\The Volume of a sphere is given as

\frac{4}{3}\pir^{3} and the volume of a cylinder is given as  \pir^{2}h

\\The ration of their volume is the same as Volume of Sphere : Volume of Cylinder , which gives

\\\frac{4}{3}\pir^{3}  : \pir^{2}h

\\recall that they have the same radius and the height of the cylinder is 2r , taking this into consideration, we have

\\\frac{4}{3}\pir^{3} : \pir^{2}(2r)

\\which gives 4 : 6 = 2 :3

\\(b) The area of a sphere is 4\pir^{2} and the surface area of the circular cylinder is \pir^{2}

\\The ratio then gives

\\4\pir^{2} : \pir^{2} ,which gives

\\4 : 1

A baseball is dropped from a glider 500 feet above the ground. The height (in feet) above the ground is modeled by the function
Sophie [7]

A) 436 ft

B) t = 5 sec

C) 5.60 s

Step-by-step explanation:

A)

The height of the ball at time t is given by the equation

h(t)=-16t^2+500

where

-16 ft/s^2 is the acceleration of the ball (acceleration of gravity, downward)

+500 is the initial height of the ball, at time t = 0

Here we want to find the height of the ball after 2 seconds, so at a time of

t = 2 s

Substituting into the equation, we find:

h(2)=-16\cdot 2^2+500=436 ft

B)

Here we want to find the time it takes for the ball to fall to a height of 100 feet above the ground, so the time t at which

h(t) = 100 ft

As stated in the text of the question, the height of the ball at time t is given by

h(t)=-16t^2+500

Since

h(t) = 100, we have

100=-16t^2+500

And solving for t we find:

16t^2=400\\t^2=25\\t=\pm 5

So, the correct solution is the positive one:

t = 5 sec

C)

The ball reaches the ground when the height of the ball has became zero:

h(t) = 0

The height of the ball at time t is given by

h(t)=-16t^2+500

And substituting

h(t) = 0

We get

0=-16t^2+500

And solving the equation for t, we find the time t at which the ball reaches the ground:

16t^2=500\\t^2=31.25\\t=\pm 5.6 s

So, the correct solution is the positive one:

t = 5.60 s
