Explanation: The character of Macduff is introduced with the wake-up call that witches make to Macbeth, in which they refer what should be taken care of Macduff. He had appeared before these witches before and he did it again since Banquo's spirit tormented him by making him see that from the Banquo lineage kings would come out and that Macbeth would die, besides that only someone who was not born of a woman could kill him. What Macbeth did not suspect was that Macduff was the one who could kill him since his mother had died before he left her womb, which turned her into a corpse. Macbeth was full of greed and the idea of being king blinded him. However, before some visions he had where he saw a bloody sword, his reaction was to have remorse and weakness to carry out his plan. Fact he did on the advice and motivations of his wife Lady Macbeth.
