By the late 1700s, Europeans had explored a great deal of the world. In fact, it is probably more beneficial to mention the places they had <em>not </em>explored.
Antarctica/the Arctic
Jungles/Rainforests in Oceania, Africa, SE Asia, and South America
The highest peaks of large mountain ranges (Himalayas, Andes, etc.).
Always size up the situation before you do anything.
Calling the police, calling the fire department, calling an ambulance etc.
In "Abuelito Who" by Sandra Cisneros, the poem opens with "Abuelito who throw coins like rain/ and asks who loves him" and it ends with "is the rain on the room that falls like coins/ asking who loves him/ who loves him who?"
The figurative language used is simile. In line 1, the coins are compared to the rain, and in lines 20-21, the rain is compared to coins.
