In the lab, Goran has two solutions that contain alcohol and is mixing them with each other. Solution A is 40% alcohol and Solut
bogdanovich [222]

Answer:

400milliliters

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x=ml of 30% solution B used in resulting mixture.

800+x=ml of resulting 30% solution

40%(800)+10%x=30%(800+x)

Then we can simplify the expression

0.4(800)+0.10x= 0.30(800+x)

320+0.10x=240+0.30x

80=0.20x

x= 400milliliters

Therefore, 400milliliters of 10% solution B used in resulting mixture.

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I learned this two years ago and I don't remember how to do this anymore!!!!!!
Otrada [13]

So remember the acronym "SOH CAH TOA"

 • Sin = Opposite/Hypotenuse
 • Cos = Adjacent/Hypotenuse
 • Tan = Opposite/Adjacent
 • Opposite = Side that doesn't touch the angle
 • Adjacent = Side that touches the angle
 • Hypotenuse = Side that is across from the right angle

A.

So we see that side a doesn't touch angle \alpha , hence making it the opposite side. And we see that side b is across from the right angle, making it the hypotenuse. Using this info, \sin \alpha = \frac{a}{b}

B.

So we already know from part A that side b is the hypotenuse. And also since side c touches the angle, it is the adjacent. Using this info, \cos \alpha = \frac{c}{b}

C.

Next, it has been established that side c is the adjacent and side a is the opposite side. Using this info, \tan \alpha = \frac{a}{c}

Explain the connection between factors of a polynomial, zeros of a polynomial function, and solutions of a polynomial equation.
MrRissso [65]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Solutions, zeros, and roots of a polynomial are all the same exact thing and can be used interchangeably. When you factor a polynomial, you solve for x which are the solutions of the polynomial. Since, when you factor a polynomial, you do so by setting the polynomial equal to 0, by definition of x-intercept, you are finding the zeros (don't forget that x-intercepts exist where y is equal to 0). There's the correlation between zeros and solutions.

Since factoring and distributing "undo" each other (or are opposites), if you factor to find the zeros, you can distribute them back out to get back to the polynomial you started with. Each zero or solution is the x value when y = 0. For example, if a solution to a polynomial is x = 3, since that is a zero of the polynomial, we can set that statement equal to 0: x - 3 = 0. What we have then is a binomial factor of the polynomial in the form (x - 3). These binomial factors found from the solutions/zeros of the polynomial FOIL out to give you back the polynomial equation.
