What do you believe the impact on cognitive development could be during middle childhood if children are encouraged to no longer

The impact is going to be negative on the cognitive development of children in their middle states of childhood if they are taught NOT to read print books, handwrite or memorize math facts.

Explanation:

During middle childhood, the ability of children to use concepts, symbols,  images, and rules increases, along with their vocabulary capacity.

The middle childhood stage is crucial because it covers the stage of concrete operations and the beginning of the stage of formal operations.

In this period, the child is expected to learn a wide range of academic skills and to develop the skill to solve increasingly difficult problems.

So to encourage them not to read print books, handwrite and memorize facts at this stage would prove very detrimental to their academic development.
