To solve this, we simply have to get the length and the width. Based from the graph, we can see that the length is connected by 2 points (-12, 2) and (6, 2) or (-20, -3) and (-2, -3). The height between the two lengths is 5 which can be counted manually.

We use the distance formula to calculate the length from either pair of points.

length^2 = [(-12 – 6)^2 + (2 – 2)^2]

length = 18

Therefore the area is:

Area = length * height

Area = 18 * 5

Area = 90

True or false? in order to inscribe a circle in a triangle, the circle's center must be placed at the circumcenter of the triang
Dvinal [7]

Answer:

False.

Step-by-step explanation:

A inscribe circle in a triangle means to draw the biggest circle possible inside such triangle. To do that perfectly, we first have to find the incenter of the circle, which is the intersection of all three internal bisector of the triangle, that point is the center of the inscribed circle.

Therefore, the statement is false.

In addition, a circumcenter allow to perfectly draw a circumscribed circle, which is outside the triangle, which is not the case here.

An image showing the inscribed circle is attached.

The temperature of the ice for an ice hockey match is -7°C. For ice-skating, the temperature of the ice is 2 degrees warmer. Wha
Archy [21]

Answer:

Temperature of the ice for ice-skating = -5 °C

Step-by-step explanation:

1. Let's review the information given to us for solving the question:

Temperature of the ice for an ice hockey match = - 7 °C

Temperature for ice- skating is 2 degrees warmer.

2. What is the temperature of the ice for ice-skating?

For the correct calculation, we use this formula:

Temperature for ice-skating = Temperature of the ice for a hockey match + 2

Temperature for ice-skating = -7 + 2

Temperature of the ice for ice-skating = -5 °C

We add 2 to the temperature of the ice for a hockey match because the temperature for ice-skating is described as warmer. If it were described as colder, we should subtract.
