Answer:

58cm squared

Step-by-step explanation:

you have to section off the two different rectangles inside of the shape then find the areas of both then add them together. So one rectangle would be 3 by 6 so area would be 18cm sqaured and the other would be 5 by 8 and the area would be 40cm sqaured and then add them together to get the total area of 58cm sqaured.

hope this helps :)

Find the equation for the
following parabola
Vertex (-2,-4)
Focus (-4,-4)
iren [92.7K]

Answer:

None of the given option corresponds to the answer.

Step-by-step explanation:

The parabola has its axis of symmetry parallel to the x-axis and is represented by the following expression:

x - h = 4\cdot p \cdot (y-k)^{2}

Where:

h, k - Components of the vertex location, dimensionless.

p - Absolute distance of focus with respect to vertex, dimensionless.

The absolute distance is determined by following formula:

p = x_{F}-h

Where x_{F} is the horizontal component of focus with respect to origin.

If h = -2, k = -4 and x_{F} = -4, the absolute distance and the equation that represents the parabola is:

p = -4+2

p = -2

x +2 = -8\cdot (y+4)^{2}

None of the given option corresponds to the answer.

Which compound inequality has no solution? x ≤ –2 and 2x ≥ 6 x ≤ –1 and 5x ≤ 5 x ≤ –1 and 3x ≥ –3 x ≤ –2 and 4x ≤ –8
andreyandreev [35.5K]
X <= -2  and 2x >= 6    is the smae as

x<= -2 Nd x >+ 3

Now x cannot satisfy both inequalities so the first one has no solution
