Answer:

The closing price of the fast food restaurant was $30.5 and that of the toy company was $2.5.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the price of each share of the toy company is $y and that of the fast-food restaurant is $x.

So. from the given condition we can write that, x = y + 28 .......... (1)

Again, it is given that the total value of stocks that they are holding was worth $981.00.

So, 27x + 63y = 981 ......... (2)

Hence, solving equations (1) and (2) we get,

27(y + 28) + 63y = 981

⇒ 90y = 225

⇒ y = $2.5

And from equation (1), we have x = 28 + 2.5 = $30.5

So, the closing price of the fast food restaurant was $30.5 and that of the toy company was $2.5. (Answer)

Classify the following triangle
jek_recluse [69]

Acute-The angle is less than 90 degrees

Equilateral-All sides are equal in length

Isosceles-Two of the sides are equal in length

Scalene-None of the sides are equal in length

Right-The angle is 90 degrees

Obtuse-The angle is greater than 90 degrees

We can see that none of the sides are the same length, so we know that it must be scalene.  We can also see that every angle is less than 90 degrees, so we know that is must be acute.

The triangle is scalene and acute.

Hope this helps!!

An isosceles trapezoid has bases of lengths 6 and 8 and a height of 16. Find the area.
11111nata11111 [884]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

In an isosceles trapezoid, the opposite sides are equal.

The formula for determining the area of a trapezoid is expressed as

Area = 1/2(a + b)h

Where

a and b are the length of The bases are the 2 sides of the trapezoid which are parallel with one another.

h represents the height of the trapezoid.

From the information given,

a = 6

b = 8

height = 16

Therefore,

Area of trapezoid = 1/2(6 + 8)16

= 1/2 × 14 × 16 = 112 square units
