Although it has some good effects it can also harmfully reduce human diversity and increase social inequality majority of genetic editing is pretty bad.

It probably shouldn't even be allowed because it can cause risks to future children, creating new forms of discrimination. This can also make people lose their trust in science technology.

New toxins can be produced, Gene Transfer to Wild or Weedy Relatives, change in Herbicide Use Patterns. There are most Unkown harms yet to be discovered.
