Brainstorming is correct. 
It's when you jot down your pre ideas. Like making a web. In the center you have the topic and you add little webs of ideas.

When you condemn something, you give reasons to why something is bad, when you endorse something, you are promoting it. 

So, in this passage, it first condemns other pizza restaurants, then endorses one.

So, "D" is the answer.
