I'm guessing you are using military time.

Note, 23:00 is the same as 11:00 pm, and 12:20 is the same as 12:20 pm

Also note: 1 hour = 60 minutes

1) Change 1 hour inside 23:00 to minutes

23:00 = 22:60

Subtract

22:60 - 12:20 = 10:40

The time between 12:20 and 23:00 is 10 hours and 40 minutes

hope this helps

Square QRST is similar to Square KLMN. The ratio of the length of side QR to the length of side KL is 3:2. If side ST=9 cm, what
Anna [14]

Answer:

LM = 6 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

A square has all the sides equal in length. The opposite sides of a square is parallel to each other  and all the angles are equal to 90°.

Therefore , the square QRST has all it sides equal in length. Likewise the square KLMN .

The ratio of side QR to the length side KL is 3:2 . If the side ST = 9 cm , The length of side LM can be gotten below.

ST =  9 cm since QRST is a square all the other sides are 9 cm . The length of KLMN is equal for all sides too. The ratio for any sides of square QRST to  any sides of square KLMN is  the same through out.

Therefore,

3/2 = 9/LM

cross multiply

3LM = 18

divide both sides by 3

LM = 18/3

LM = 6 cm

Exam: 05.03 Exponential and Logarithmic Functions Mid-Module Check<br><br><br> Solve 4x = 8x − 1
Fantom [35]
If 4x = 8x - 1 then 4x must be equivalent to 1. So that means x is .25 or 1/4.

Hope this helps!

When I write my expression in rational exponent form, what is the fraction that goes with the base of 10?
blsea [12.9K]

Answer: Choice A

\sqrt[4]{3^3}

The fourth root of 3^3

=============================================

Explanation:

The exponent of 1/4 means "fourth root", so,

3^{1/4} = \sqrt[4]{3}

The outer exponent 3 can be moved inward like this

\left(3^{1/4}\right)^3 = 3^{1/4*3} = 3^{3/4}

Then we can use the rule

x^{m/n} = \sqrt[n]{x^m}

This means

3^{3/4} = \sqrt[4]{3^3}
