Temperature measurements are converted between degrees Fahrenheit (F) and degrees Celsius (C) by the following formula.
kompoz [17]

Answer:

14°C

Step-by-step explanation:

(°F − 32) × 5/9 = °C

(46°F − 32) × 5/9 = 7.778°C  which is about 8°C

(72°F − 32) × 5/9 = 22.222°C  which is about 22°C

22°C  - 8°C  = 14°C

Solve for x in the second equation.

Just add 1 to both sides to get x = 9y + 1

Then plug 9y + 1 into the first equation for x

7(9y+1) - 9y = 1

63y + 7 - 9y = 1

54y + 7 = 1

54y = -6

y = -6/54 or -1/9

Plug y back into one of the equations to get x = 0

Answer: (0, -1/9)

What is the answer???
bonufazy [111]
First, change one of the equations to an y=x form I'll use the top one for example.
3x-2y=14
-2y=14-3x
y=-7+(3/2)x
Not that you can show what y is in terms of x, plug in the x side of the equation into the other equation, for y.
x+2(-7+(3/2)x)=10
Now, you can solve for x
x-14+3x=10
4x-14=10
4x=24
x=6
Using this value of x, we can now solve for y using one of the original equations.
(6)+2y=10
2y=4
y=2
