Answer:

The assignment of U.S. citizens to Social Security numbers is an example of a function.

Step-by-step explanation:

In order to determinate if the given example is a function, you have to use the definiton of function.

A function assigns each element of the domain (one set) to exactly one element of the range (the other set).

In the given example, the domain is the U.S. citizens and the range is the Social Security numbers. It's a function because every citizen is assigned to exactly one Social Security number.

8(5-32) equal to and explain <br> please help
Gre4nikov [31]
You would use order of operations: PEMDAS
P(parenthesis) E(exponents) MD(multiplication/division) AS(addition/subtraction)
with MD and AS order doesnt matter.
8(5-32) you would start with inside the Parenthesis for "P" so (5-32)=(-27)
next you would go to the E but because you dont have an exponent you go to the next step with is the "MD" you have multiplication so next would be 8(-27) and 8 multiplied by -27 is: 8(-27)= -216

The two circles shown above have radii of 8 in. and 2 in.
algol [13]

Answer:

1/4

Step-by-step explanation:

For the first circle 2 x 2in = 4 to find diameter

4 x 3.14 = 12.56

6in x 2 = 12

12 x 3.14 = 37.68

simplify

12.56/37.68

6.28/18.84

3.14/9.42

So the answer is 1/4 since 3.14 x 2 = 6.28

Also since the radius is 2 times longer

Pani-rosa [81]
If you multiply or divide by a positive number the inequality sign DOES NOT CHANGE!

If you multiply or divide by a negative number the inequality sign flips around and becomes the opposite.
