How did job specialization brought about by surplus food contribute to social stratification during the Neolithic Revolution
Oliga [24]
It brought upon social stratification because certain jobs enabled receiving more food which in turn gave these people the upper hand as they were able to decide who will have enough food to survive. Another thing was blacksmithing and smithing swords only for themselves which gave them a weapon that other people didn't have.

Define the Tripartite Pact and explain its significance.
jeka94
The Tripartite Pact was signed between Italy, Germany and Japan on 27 September 1940. It was an anti American alliance, stating that each country would aid any of the others that was attacked by the USA.

The significance was that it bound all 3 to fight against America if America entered WW2 on the side of Britain (the only country still fighting Germany and Italy at the time), or if USA attacked Japan; all 3 were expressing official hostility against America, a neutral nation at the time, and therefore the opposition of all 3 to any country that had a liberal democratic system of government.

However, following the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor 7 December 1941 and the German and Italian declaration of war on USA 11 December 1941, the Tripartite Pact became entirely defunct, as all 3 signatories were now at war with America of their own choosing.

How were the central characteristics of the English and French governments of the late 1600’s similar or different
IrinaK [193]

English and French Kingdoms had both similarities and differences, during the late 1600's.

Both had a monarchical system, with a king ruling the country.

However, France had been under the rule of Louis XIV for over 60 years by the end of the 17th century, thus, he had consolidated his power, and the crown's power above everything. He eliminated the remnants of feudalism still left across France and imposed a rule of absolute monarchy.

In contrast to the English kingdom, where the parliament was powerful enough to denounce King James II for abuse of power through the use of the Bill of Rights, and was a solid institution with the authority to depose the king if needed. The English kingdom had clear limits on the Crown's power and authority, and several tax and civil right laws could not be emitted without the Parliaments permission.
