Well she would have a cognitive appraisal which would be “ a stranger can get into my house and hurt me and the kids, so I am scared” and then you would start feeling the emotion of scared which comes along with heart beating fast and sweating. So she would be scared based on her reasoning according to the Lazurass meditations cognitive theory.
