For this case we have that by definition, the arc length of a circle is given by:

AL = \frac {x * 2 \pi * r} {360}

Where:

x: Represents the angle between JM. According to the figure we have that x = 90 degrees.

r = \frac {16.4} {2} = 8.2

So:

AL = \frac {90 * 2 \pi * 8.2} {360}\\AL = \frac {90 * 2 * 3.14 * 8.2} {360}\\AL = 12.874

Rounding:

AL = 12.9 miles

Answer:

12.9 miles

Consider the following set of ages of students is a college seminar.
jonny [76]

Answer:

1) \sum\limits_{i=2}^{6}x_{i}=116

2) \sum\limits_{i=1}^{4}x_{i}=87

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that x_{1}=21,x_{2}=23,x_{3}=22,x_{4}=21,x_{5}=24,x_{6}=26,x_{7}=28

1) Given that \sum\limits_{i=2}^{6}x_{i}

To find  \sum\limits_{i=2}^{6}x_{i}

Expanding the sums below to solve it

\sum\limits_{i=2}^{6}x_{i}=x_{2}+x_{3}+x_{4}+x_{5}+x_{6}

=23+22+21+24+26 (adding the terms )

=116

Therefore  \sum\limits_{i=2}^{6}x_{i}=116

2) Given that \sum\limits_{i=1}^{4}x_{i}

To find  \sum\limits_{i=1}^{4}x_{i}

Expanding the sums below to solve it

\sum\limits_{i=1}^{4}x_{i}=x_{1}+x_{2}+x_{3}+x_{4}

=21+23+22+21 (adding the terms )

=87

Therefore  \sum\limits_{i=1}^{4}x_{i}=87
