So one way to answer this would be to write it as a ratio first so you know 4/5 of Chris’s wire = all of Daniels wire so if Chris has 10 ft Daniel has 4/5 of that which is 8 so their ratio is 10:8 which = 5:4. Then Daniel has 1/3 as much as Sarah so we know Sarah has 3x as much so Sarah can be 4x 3 = 12 so your final ratio is 5:4:12 then you have 8 feet of wire and 21 parts total so you do 8/21 and times it by the amount of parts Daniel has which is 4 so 8/21 x 4 is 1.52 ft hope this helps :)

There are 20 marbles in a bag. Each marble has a different design or color. How many ways can you draw 8 marbles from the jar? I
Digiron [165]

Answer:

The number of ways of selecting a combination of 8 marbles from a bag containing 20 marbles is 125970

Step-by-step explanation:

The number of selecting 8 marbles from a bag of 20 marbles

A combination gives the number of possible order or arrangement in a collection of k items selected from a set of n items

C_{n,k} = \dbinom{n}{k}= \dfrac{n!}{k!\cdot \left ( n - k \right )!}

In the question, k = 8, and n = 20

Substituting the values of n and k in the above equation gives;

C_{20,8} = \dbinom{20}{8}= \dfrac{20!}{8!\times\left ( 20 - 8 \right )!} = 125,970

Therefore, the number of ways of selecting 8 marbles from a bag containing 20 marbles is given by the combination C₂₀, ₈ = 125970.

Write a real-world situation that is represented by the following inequality: −19 < 40. Explain the position of the numbers o
madam [21]

Answer:

Situation: Water is liquid at 40°C above zero and it turns to ice at below zero temperatures. For example, water at 19°C below zero is frozen.

Step-by-step explanation:

The integer that represents 19°C below zero is -19.

The integer that represents 40°C above zero is 40.

The attached number line shows that 40 is at the right of -19. So -19 < 40.
