Hello!

The correct answer to this question is D: conflict.

The conflict is simply a disagreement, argument, or hostility between characters in literature.

Rising action is the buildup of tension which later leads to the conflict.
The resolution is when the problem/conflict has been solved.
Lastly, the falling action occurs after the resolution. This is often when the plot begins to slow down.

I hope this helps you! Have a great day!

What are some example of imagery in the cask of amontillado
Natasha2012 [34]

Answer:

Hi tae here!

Explanation:

In “The Cask of Amontillado,” Edgar Allen Poe uses many examples of imagery, such as the descriptions of the carnival, characters, the walk through the catacombs, and much more throughout the story to build suspense and intrigue for the readers and add to the mystery of Montresor’s underlining actions of the revenge and deception of the foolish Fortunado. By using descriptive words and phrases to help us imagine the characters and setting the readers are drawn further into the suspense.

hope this helps

Briefly describe the goal of mainstream media as compared with independent media.
NARA [144]

Theoretically, mainstream media is supposed to show us the most important news only, but generally this idea has been less trusted. Mainstream media is made by huge corporations that receive enormous amounts of money (sometimes from governments, sometimes from private businesses, but always from someone with interests) and often report news in a way that can be considered not completely honest or neutral.

Independent media is supposed to be a response to that. Many claim to be free from that problem because they do not receive that money. Some claim to be neutral, but many claim to be left or right leaning so people will know upfront that their news also carry their opinions with it.
