Someone please help me
Rina8888 [55]

Answer:

Below

Explanation:

These questions all give vague answers, so you want to make them specific. You can do this by giving values rather than descriptions.

Examples of these would be:

I have a 4.0 GPA.

The basketball player was 6'3 tall.

I'll be home in 10 minutes.

The team has lost every game this season.

The computer has 1TB of memory.

(I'm not American, so sorry if the first 2 are not actually high/tall, but you get the idea)

Tone- how the narrator/speaker feels towards the events of the narrative they are describing
Mood- how the piece makes us—the reader—feel
Evidence- examples of the literary devices the author used and how they were used (diction, metaphor, imagery, contrast, etc.)

Paragraph #1:
The tone (coming from the narrator) is joyous, lively, and sentimental
The mood (to the reader) is warm, festive, and personal
EVIDENCE: Imagery of pleasant sensations like “bright lights” the “smell of cookies and cider,” “bright packages,” and the “warm room” as well as the selected vocabulary of “gleamed,” “hummed,” and “playfully,” demonstrate the narrator’s comfort, familiarity, and enjoyment of the holidays while indicating to the reader that this is a safe, happy, and celebratory time.

Paragraph #2:
The tone is depressed and disheartened
The mood is bleak and expired
EVIDENCE: words like “long, cold winter” “dry, brittle (tree),” and the juxtaposition (contrast) between putting “decorations back into their boxes” with the past “finery” of the house show the narrator’s disappointed feelings towards the end of the holiday season and the general “sigh” of the house.

How are the words enter and victor different
nignag [31]
Victor - a person who defeats an enemy or opponent in a battle, game, or other competition.
Enter - begin to be involved in.
In this case (because of the 2 words), I think that the victor is the person who wins the competition while the word enter, or the phrase to enter, is probably meant as in to enter the competition. The question wasn't entirely clear but I hope I have sort of answered it. :)

What stunt does Lemon brag about? Why was the stunt dangerous? Explain.
torisob [31]

Answer: Painting himself up and going trick or treating naked in Vietnam.

Explanation:

Curt Lemon according to the text just loved acting overly macho. He would engage in stunts that he did not have to just to prove his manliness. On one particular night bring Halloween, he went trick or treating to Vietnamese houses naked and painted up.

This was a particularly dangerous stint because Vietnam was a war zone. They were in an actual war. To go out without gear in a country where you could easily be considered hostile without any gear to protect you can lead to death. This is what made the stunt dangerous.
