There is a sympathetic tone in Jane Eyre's attitude because she represents the author, Bronte bringing her determination of feminine freedom. Few critics believe also believe that the tone of Jane Eyre is very transparent as it replicates the characteristics of the author and the feelings of the author. However there is a subtle tone of Gothic and Romanticism that is highlighted through Jane's narrative. There are many other tones found too, like authorial tone that occurs between Mr. Rochester and Jane Eyre and a tone in diction that interior dialogue of Gothic which is angered from a young Jane Eyre.
