I know this may start controversy but it's not oppressed if they don't know they're oppressed. But if being abused then let them free yes, but on the terms of being oppressed then no.

I believe that it is right to have animals in captivity under certain circumstances. Research institutions sometimes need to have captive animals because this allows them to learn more about them and their environment. This can help them protect other members of this species in the wild. However, when the purpose is entertainment, then I believe this is not justified. Nowadays, people have access to many wildlife documentaries and the internet, which gives them a great opportunity to learn about different animals without having to visit them in zoos and aquariums.

In "Ashputtle," what is archetypal about the king's celebration?
Kay [80]
The short story "Ashputtle" was written by the Grimm brothers. It is very similar to the fairy tale known as Cinderella. The word "archetypal" means something that is very typical of a certain kind of person or thing. In this story, the way the king held a three-day feast and invited all the rich girls to attend the feast is archetypal of the monarchy throughout the ages. He was looking for a wife for his son from the same social class as he was.

Katena32 [7]
Machiavelli turns his attention to the rules  effects his ruin than his preservation; for a man who wishes to act entirely up to his professions of virtue soon meets with what destroys him among so much that is evil.  When this is done correctly, he is "reproached" by his people but not "hated.
