Answer:

y must be less than 1

Step-by-step explanation:

Given two variables x and y, the reciprocal of x and y is given as 1/x and 1/y respectively.

If the product of this reciprocals is 1, then:

1/x × 1/y = 1

1/xy = 1

xy = 1

y = 1/x ... (1)

From the equation 1 gotten, it can be inferred that y is inversely proportional to x i.e increase in the value of x will lead to decrease in the value of y and vice versa.

If x>1, then y must be less than 1 i.e y<1

ss7ja [257]

Answer:

13

Step-by-step explanation:

This triangle appears to be 5 units wide and 12 units tall.

Using the pythagorean theorem, a^2 + b^2 = c^2, we get 25 + 144 = 169 or 13^2.

Therefore the answer is 13.

If f(x) and its inverse function, f^-1(x), are both plotted on the same coordinate plane, where is their point of intersection?
zloy xaker [14]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Their point of intersection, assuming there is one, will be somewhere on the line y = x.  This line, y = x, is the line of symmetry between a function and its inverse.  So if the two do in fact intersect, it will be at some point on that line

How do you solve this problem and what is the equation 3x(8-3) (6 4)/2?
Charra [1.4K]
To solve the problem, do the problem in the parenthesis () then do your answer with the numbers outside the ().

(8-3) = 5 x 3 = 15

(6 + 4) = 10 / 2 = 5

(6 - 4) = 2 / 2 = 1

(6 x 4) = 24 / 2 = 3

Um... part of the (6 4) doesn't make sense... What goes between the numbers? Plus, minus, multiply or division sign? Please tell.

But, I already got you started off and I'll let you figure out the rest. (If you can not figure out the rest, please tell me what sign is between the 6 and 4 in (6 4) and then I'll give you the answer and a better explanation.)

I hope this helps! :D
