The bill of rights would be established was the promise gave by founding Father gave to the people to gain support for the constitution.

- Bill of rights main purpose is to protect the citizen from growing excessive power of the government.
- Bill of rights helps to divide government power separately to various branches. Which includes the Judicial, executive and legislative.
- Bill of right contains first 10 amendments to the constituents. So, bill of rights is basically created for citizens to protect them from the overpower of the government.
It created tension between the colonies and Great Britain. Early in the American Revolution colonist considered this a grievance. I don't know if this answer helps, sorry if it doesn't. :)
