Answer:

Study of the ocean floor is measured through the bathymetry that results due to the plate tectonics.

Explanation:

  • The ocean basin consists of a seafloor that varies in nature as the shifting nature of plates that collide and transform every day. The oceanic basin from the continental shelf starts at 200m meters.
  • After which the continental slopes down to 2000 to 3000 meters downwards. Next comes the Abyssal Plains that are at a height of 3000 to 6000 meters in depth.
  • The oceanic trench is the deepest zone in the ocean's seas floor and this zone is at a depth of 10,000 meters. The deepest zone is the marina trench 11-12,000 meters in the pacific ocean.
  • After which he volcanic ridges or the table mounts or seamounts that rise above the bottom depths at an altitude of 14,000 meters from the seafloor. Which is again followed by the mid submarine ridges from 1000 to 6000 meters.

Electron degeneracy is what holds up a __________ against the compressing force of gravity.
Viefleur [7K]

Answer:

white dwarf

Explanation:

White dwarf

In a white dwarf due to high temperature and pressure the electrons of atoms are compressed to a very small space and this makes it impossible to add more electrons in the space as all the energy levels are previously filled and thus the electrons exerts a pressure which acts against the compressive force of the gravity in a white dwarf .

hence , the correct option is white dwarf .
