An angle measures 17 more than 3 times the number. It's supplement is 3 more than 7 times the number. What is the measure of each angle?
.
Let n = the number
then
3n+17 = angle
supplement = 180 - (3n+17)
.
from:"It's supplement is 3 more than 7 times the number."
180 - (3n+17) = 7n+3
180 - 3n-17 = 7n+3
180-17 = 10n+3
