We want to do a taste test comparing the flavor of two new zero calorie colas, "Cola Zero" and "The Null Cola." We had 25 people

taste one of the new colas and give us a flavor score between 0 and 10. 0 for bad flavor and 10 for great flavor. Then we had the same 25 people taste the other cola and rate its flavor in the same way (which cola was tasted first was determined by a random method). After the tasting, the difference between the taste score for "Cola Zero" and the taste score for "The Null Cola" was calculated for all 25 participants. The sample mean for the 25 differences was 1.3 and the sample standard deviation for the 25 differences was 1.9. Is there a significant difference between the taste scores for the two colas?

Answer:

No, there is not a significant difference

Step-by-step explanation:

The sample mean (1.3) is less than the sample standard deviation (1.9). The sample mean would have to be greater than 1.9 for there to be a significant difference

How can intercepts be used to represent real-life information?
adell [148]
Intercepts can be used to describe the starting point of something. This is because whether it is an x or y intercept, the opposite value contains a 0. Ex: (x,0) or (0, y)

Write the equation of the line that passes through (-1, 3) and is parallel to the line y = -x + 1.
ra1l [238]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

y = -x + 1......same as y = -1x + 1.....in y = mx + b form, ur slope is in the m position....so the slope of this line is -1.

a parallel line will have the same slope.

(-1,3)...x = -1 and y = 3

slope(m) = -1

y = mx + b.....we have x,y, and m....now we need to find y int (b)

3 = -1(-1) + b

3 = 1 + b

3 - 1 = b

2 = b

so ur parallel equation is : y = -1x + 2...or just y = -x + 2
