Hello there!
My best guess would be to plug in 5 into n.
So:
f (n) = 5n-2
f (5) = 5 (5) -2
f (5) = 25-2
f (5) = 23
This is my GUESS. I'm not sure how to do this problem (it's been a while since I've done this).
So PLEASE get a second opinion or ask a teacher!
Hope this helped!

Step-by-step explanation:
Given
Direct Variation of T to ![\sqrt d](https://tex.z-dn.net/?f=%5Csqrt%20d)
![d =6;\ when\ T = 5](https://tex.z-dn.net/?f=d%20%3D6%3B%5C%20when%5C%20T%20%3D%205)
Required
Determine T when d = 3
The variation can be represented as:
![T\ \alpha\ \sqrt d](https://tex.z-dn.net/?f=T%5C%20%5Calpha%5C%20%5Csqrt%20d)
Convert to equation
![T = k\sqrt d](https://tex.z-dn.net/?f=T%20%3D%20k%5Csqrt%20d)
; so we have:
![5 = k * \sqrt 6](https://tex.z-dn.net/?f=5%20%3D%20k%20%2A%20%5Csqrt%206)
Make k the subject:
![k = \frac{5}{\sqrt 6}](https://tex.z-dn.net/?f=k%20%3D%20%5Cfrac%7B5%7D%7B%5Csqrt%206%7D)
To solve for T when d = 3.
Substitute 3 for d and
in ![T = k\sqrt d](https://tex.z-dn.net/?f=T%20%3D%20k%5Csqrt%20d)
![T = \frac{5}{\sqrt 6} * \sqrt{3}](https://tex.z-dn.net/?f=T%20%3D%20%5Cfrac%7B5%7D%7B%5Csqrt%206%7D%20%2A%20%5Csqrt%7B3%7D)
![T = \frac{5\sqrt{3}}{\sqrt 6}](https://tex.z-dn.net/?f=T%20%3D%20%5Cfrac%7B5%5Csqrt%7B3%7D%7D%7B%5Csqrt%206%7D)
![T = \frac{5 * 1.7321}{2.4495}](https://tex.z-dn.net/?f=T%20%3D%20%5Cfrac%7B5%20%2A%201.7321%7D%7B2.4495%7D)
![T = \frac{8.6605}{2.4495}](https://tex.z-dn.net/?f=T%20%3D%20%5Cfrac%7B8.6605%7D%7B2.4495%7D)
![T = 3.5356](https://tex.z-dn.net/?f=T%20%3D%203.5356)

Answer:
12
Step-by-step explanation:
36 divided but 3 is 12 so x=12
Perimeter is the sum of all the sides .The given sides are : 10a-4 ,6a+8,6a+8,12a
The given perimeter is 102 .We can form an equation:
10a-4+6a+8+6a+8+12a=102
Adding like terms :
34a +12=102
Subtracting 12 both sides:
34a= 90
Dividing by 34 both sides:
a=-2.65.
The given sides are :
6a+8= 23.9
12a= 31.8
10a-4=22.5
Among these 31.8 is the largest side .
So the side having 12 a length is largest.
