I believe what kept it from that was the British king, sense people in America (Americans) had issues with the UK for randomly taxing them and taxing them at high prices to.

the black death was B) a disease that killed millions of europeans during the 14th century.
in the 14th century there were some fleas or something that hopped onto some rats and gave them a disease known as the bubonic plague aka the black death and the rats basically went out and broke into peoples houses and ate their food and infected the people.
It all depends on your personal beliefs now and days. some people believe it started from a bang, others believe that God from the bible created everything, and others believe that there are multiple gods that created the universe and everything. I say you do some research and figure out which of the hundreds of tales you believe.
