Ferdinand Magellan was a Portuguese explorer who organised the Spanish expedition to the East Indies from 1519 to 1522, reach the Philippine archipelago, and spread the religion Roman Catholicism. The native population, some of their chiefs were in agreement with the conversion, but some of them like "Lapu-Lapu" opposed to  the decision. They became agressive because this opposement led to a war afterwards.
