A computer is on sale from two different internet sites. Site A sells it for $1,250 puls free shipping. They offer a 20% discount with an internet coupon. Sure B sells the same computer for $1,000 plus a $20 shipping charge. Which will be cheaper and what is the percentage difference?

SITE A:
Original = $1,250
Discounted = $1,250 x (20% x 1,250)
                   = $1,000
SITE B:
Original Price = $1000 + $20
                       = $1,020
Site A is cheaper.
$1,020 - $1,000 = $ 20
(20 / 1,020) x 100% = 1.96%

1,250 - 250 = 1,000.

SITE B SOLUTION:

1,020

So, site A is cheaper.

The percentage change between the two prices would be 1.96%.
