People, like the Native Americans, would see this event as a catastrophe since Columbus and his men slaughtered many Native Americans during his time in the Americas. He also discriminated against the Native Americans. This would lead to the harsh treatment of Native Americans for generations.

Colonists

Others would argue that the voyage was a huge accomplishment. This was the first time that people from the east side of the world ventured into the west side. This would lead to many great things like the creation of the United States. People to this day celebrate this voyage with a national holiday, Columbus Day.

I can't give many but the main one was huge job loss and money loss, tons of company's went out of business. The death toll raised quickly. After this depression a man invented a way of preventing another one. He "buried" 1 million dollars out of the city, and told everyone. Then the city went to bug shovels to get the money, but had to be employed to buy the shovels, therefore preventing another depression and bringing employees to factorys
