To find the area of shaded region, we can first find the respective area for the different rectangles.

The area of the larger rectangle:

(3x-4) × (2x+2)

=6x^2 -2x - 8

The area of the smaller rectangle:

(x-3)(x-6)

=x^2 - 9x + 18

We can then deduct the smaller area from the larger area to find the answer:

(6x^2 -2x - 8) - (x^2 - 9x + 18)
= 6x^2 -2x - 8 - x^2 + 9x - 18
= 5x^2 + 7x -26

Therefore, the answer is 5x^2 + 7x -26.

Hope it helps!

Answer with Step-by-step explanation:

The shaded region contains the area of large rectangle excluding the area of smaller rectangle.

i.e. Area of shaded region=Area of large rectangle-Area of smaller rectangle

Area of rectangle=Length×breath

Area of large rectangle=(3x-4)(2x+2)

                                     =3x(2x+2)-4(2x+2)

                                    =6x²+6x-8x-8

                                   =6x²-2x-8

Area of small rectangle=(x-6)(x-3)

                                      =x(x-3)-6(x-3)

                                     =x²-3x-6x+18

                                    = x²-9x+18

Area of shaded region=6x²-2x-8-(x²-9x+18)

                                     =6x²-2x-8-x²+9x-18

Combining like terms, we get

Area of shaded region=5x²+7x-26

Hence, Area of shaded region is:

5x²+7x-26

Tamika makes a 5.5% commission selling electronics. How much commission does she make if she sells a flat screen TV for $10,000?
Westkost [7]
Percentage of commission that Tamika makes selling electronics = 5.5%
Amount at which Tamika sells a flat screen TV = $10000
Then
Amount of commission made by Tamika = (5.5/100) * 10000 dollars
                                                                = 5.5 * 100 dollars
                                                                = 550 dollars
From the above deduction, we can conclude that the correct option among all the options that are given in the question is option "B".

Jamie starts a savings account with $75. She deposits $30 in her account a monthly. Her friend Carmen's savings account balance
MrRissso [65]

Answer:

Jamie starts off with 75 in her account and carmen starts with 100, while carmen have originally more since 100 is greater that 75 Jamie adds $30 monthly while carmen add 25 monthly so if we were to do jamies equation b=(30*6)+75 b would equal 255, and for carmen, we would have 250 since b=(25*6)+100 equals 250 meaning that Jamie would have a greater balance after 6 months
