Answer:

1. <u>Bright-</u>

Positive connotation: Brilliant

Negative connotation: Glaring

2. <u>Odor-</u>

Positive connotation: Aroma

Negative connotation: Stink

3. <u>Die-</u>

Positive connotation: Finish

Negative connotation: Perish

4. <u>Smart-</u>

Positive connotation: Intelligent

Negative connotation: Pr ick

Explanation:

Synonyms are those words that have the same meaning as the primary given word. Their spellings and words may not be the same but they can be used and implied to mean the exact same thing.

A positive connotation is a word that gives a positive feeling about the word. It produces a happy feeling about it whereas a negative connotation does the opposite of the very same word, though they all mean the same thing.

The positive connotation of the word "<u>bright</u>" is "brilliant", meaning it gives a good shine to it whereas when we say "glaring", it seems more menacing.

The positive connotation for "<u>odor</u>" is an “aroma”, which implies a positive and good approach whereas "stink" gives it a negative impact on the others.

"<u>Die</u>" can be used in a positive way when expressed as "finish" for it could well mean the achieving of the aim or target whereas when it is used as "perish", it gives a sense of ending in a negative light.

The positive connotation for "<u>smart</u>" is "intelligent" which gives the impression of that person as someone educated or civilized, whereas when used as "pr ick", it changes the meaning to someone who is annoying and arrogant.

What inference can you make about Gregor employers? Identify text evidence that supports your inference.
Nady [450]
<span>The office manager attacks Gregor's integrity and even goes so far as to accuse him of stealing. His employers are heartless. They have no feelings for their employees, and it seems that the manager's intent is to get rid of Gregor from the get go. He isn't being a productive asset for the company, thus, he should leave the company...... anyway they can get him to go.</span><span />

Which two themes are evident in Robert Frost’s poem “The Road not Taken”?
Mandarinka [93]
The two themes are 1) The goals of an individual are meaningful and 2) One should be open to new experiences.

Everybody has his or her own personal goal. Every goal of an individual is meaningful regardless if the other finds said goal unimportant. Pursuing personal goals is very meaningful to the individual because it gives him or her the purpose and motivation to succeed in his or her desired goal.

One should be open to new experiences. This is part of our growth as a human person. If we are afraid to try new experiences and prefer to live within our comfort zones, we will become stagnant and our growth and development as an individual will be hindered. We will also become blind to new discoveries which may enrich our lives.
