In the Savafid Empire the artisans produced beautiful rugs and pottery. The Savafid artisans are considered the first to have changed the way rugs were created. There stylishly designed rugs are still preserved but actual date of their creation cannot be told. During this period the creation of rugs became a national industry. The carpets created also had a great export market in the European countries and also the Mughal Empire. The honour of creating floral decorations goes to the artisans of the Savafid Empire.

In Florida, during the 1920s, there was a notable rise in racially motivated crimes. These crimes were most often violent in nature and are most notably exemplified by the Perry and Ocoee massacres.
