A narwhal's tusk is actually a protruding canine tooth(I guess all animal tusks are actually teeth, but it's still pretty cool). In addition to this, the horn can grow to be as long as 9 ft. However, scientists are not yet sure if the narwhal's horn actually serves any real purpose.
