The Republican Party currently reflects a more conservative view while the Democratic Party currently reflects a more liberal view.

The Republican Party, for the most part, has represented the conservative voter since the late 1960's. Since 2008, there has been much debate that the current GOP is not as conservative as the party once was, and there is a splinter party, The Tea Party, that is growing among the GOP.
